Dear Jan Bramwell
Thank you for writing to Nigel Farage about the lamentable condition to which the EU - and the removal of democratically accountable government - has reduced our country.
It was public apathy, as you say, which allowed this to happen, but that apathy was carefully induced by those who treacherously sought their own aggrandisement at the expense of the sovereignty of the electorate and the moral fibre of the nation, and who have now been exposed as the cynical careerists they really are.
Consequently, apathy is falling away, and the electorate is summoning its power to dislodge such people, and their cartel of pro-EU parties, from Westminster. This will not be achieved, of course, by the forthcoming elections to the EU's toothless, and pseudo-democratic, cosmetic, consultative assembly; but a famous victory for UKIP, in these elections, will put us in a position to fight the next General Election on an equal footing with the incumbent cartel.
The mass-media will not be able to ignore us, without losing all credibility. They will not be able to sweep the EU under the carpet and pretend that Westminster, as it is, is a meaningful institution. They will have to try to defend the European Communities Act, at the hustings, and, on the true facts of the matter, we shall have the opportunity to beat them.
Take courage, therefore. We are living in momentous times. Please contact your regional UKIP-office, http://www.ukip.org/branches/south-west-region/82-south-west-regional-office if you feel you can assist the campaign, write to the local press - as you have written, so eloquently, to Mr Farage - and prepare for the end of decades of government-betrayal!
Yours sincerely
