Dear Ms Bramwell,
The UK ECC is an advisory service, we offer advice to consumers on European Consumer Law. In addition to offering advice to consumers we also try to assist consumers to make contact with trader's resolve their complaint, we do this by attempting to contact a trader on behalf of a consumer to advise them of the law and request an amicable resolution. As an advice service we are unable to compel a trader to act in a particular manner. The only person who can make a binding decision on a complaint is a judge in court.
There is no European Law that regulates property purchases, the law is different in each country. We always advise property purchasers who have complaints to seek the assistance of a solicitor who is qualified in the appropriate property law.
I am sorry that we are unable to assist you in your complaint.
Kind regards
Laura Fergusson | Consumer Advisor | UK European Consumer Centre
