If you are employing the services of a lawyer in Bulgaria there are some important things that you need to know: 

1.    Finding a lawyer is not as easy as you may think; the lawyers in Bulgaria can be as varied as the developers. There are some excellent ones and some who call themselves lawyers who have no legal qualification at all.

2.    Those listed on the British Embassy web site are NOT recommended but rather a list of English speaking lawyers.

3.    If someone recommends a lawyer to you ask them these questions.

•  What has this lawyer achieved for you?
•  How much did it cost?
•  How long did they take? 
• Which bar association are they registered with?

4.    You must RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH otherwise you could end up paying out even more money and getting nowhere. 

5.     We aim to have a database of legal professionals recommended by our members.
